As a registered Charity we ensure that we are accountable for the use of funds raised, and that we have the necessary processes in place for the functioning of the Organisation.  We have a Financial Control and Expenses Policy, dual authorisation for all payments, and use internet banking.  Documents are saved on a secure shared drive online, and we do not store or share any parents' contact details.  The Charity registered for Gift Aid in 2023 and is a member of ParentKind.  



The Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every half Term in person, and/or online.  Please email us if you'd like to attend.   

The AGM is every October, when committee members are elected or re-elected.  Please email us if you're interested in joining the committee.

The object of Friends of Hatcham College, as set out in the Constitution, is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:

  • Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;
  • Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Friends of Hatcham College was previously known as Friends of Aske's College Society (FACS) and Friends of Aske's PTA.

As a registered charity, Friends of Hatcham College is required to elect Officers at each Annual General Meeting (AGM) - the minimum requirement is for a Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer. There are other roles which contribute to the smooth running of the committee.
